Originally the primary method of marketing their product was through theme parks. However in 2005 the company created a franchise operation which has by such industry publications as “Entrepreneur Magazine” and “Franchise Times”, rank Dippin” Dots as one of the Best of the Best franchises. Products include many flavors of ice cream, sherbet, yogurt and sugar free flavors versions of several different ice creams. They also serve specialty items from Dippin’ Dots such as ice creams cakes and ice creams sandwiches. A slurry machine supplies a tasty refreshing flavored ice as well as combinations of Dippin’ Dots and ice as a scrumptious parfait. Royalty fees are 4 % and Advertising is ½ % of gross sales.
The owners purchased a franchise and opened Dippin’ Dots in La Quinta California in April 2007. Owners have also served their tasty treats at the COD Street Fair and all the equipment including air balloon to continue is included in sales price.
