The financial institution has been in the asset recovery business for 20 years, the main business activities having been appraisals, auctions and liquidations. Over the years, as it has given out appraisals on assets, clients have asked us whether we would be willing to advance cash against the assets which had been appraised. What began as an occasional transaction has developed into a fourth business line for the company, that of "Asset Based Lending" or our "Cash Advance Program."
The premise for this program is that it will loan or advance up to 75% of what we deem to be the liquidation or "quick-sale" value of the asset(s) involved. Assets need to be securable with the financial institution taking a first charge. As "hard asset" lenders, we look almost entirely to the value of the asset rather than sales, cash flow, management, history, etc. All loans are strictly short-term and range from 3 to 12 months.
Minimum amount is $500,000 up to $50,000,000.
